- Revolution2 Some of the best themes I've seen. CMS-looking. Temporarily released as free software under the GPL. I have a local copy of them if anyone wants them.
- WP SLIDER - Kick ass slider layout. Really clean with a fun slider.
- HemingwayX - Great theme. Good options.
- Glossy Blue
- iTheme
- Misty Look - Famous for being the only theme that is available for MediaWiki and Wordpress. Bliki!
- Modern - Great minimalist theme
- iNove
- clean home - great simple theme!
- simplicity bright - minimalist

- K2 - Good starting point for a theme.
- illacrimo theme - blue. professional. bloggy.
- dilectio - bit flowery, but still good. 3 columns.
- Prologue - Twitter-like theme for wordpress.
- theme deCoder - dark. well styled.
- theme deColor - grey. pretty awesome. simple.
- web deMar themes - small collection of good themes.
- Simpla theme - simple, light, kinda like wpcandy.
- Color Paper - Wood grain background. Subtle colors.
- Coda Blue - Great for open source coding projects!! see also: WP Coda.
- WP Coda Orange - Coda + Sourceforge. Yay! Integrated plugins + theme
- Agregado - An amzing theme with a lifestream built in to the front page.
- Xplosive reloaded - Good blog theme. 4 colors.
- WP Premium - It's free.

- Journalist - Super simple, clean theme.

- WP Smashing - EXTREMELY BAD ASS layout. Includes calendar plugin/theme!
- Garland Theme (from Drual!!) - Theme that drupal uses. Including color picker for quick color changes!
- Obama Theme - Has lots of integration. Clean layout.
- Whitehouse - Looks like current whitehouse frontpage. Great for political stuff!
- Ideal Website - Laid out along the golden ratio. Beautiful.
- Freshy2 - Nice theme. Good options.
- DeStyle - Beautiful. Sleek. Web 2.0 blog-ish. Lead images for each post.
- The Unstandard - Great for photo galleries or image-oriented blogs.
- Mainstream - WooThemes. Multiple different colors/styles. Great for a personal site.
- Typebased - WooThemes. Great blog theme.
- Modern Clix - Clean grid theme
- Green Park 2 - Carefully designed theme with good options.
- R755 - Minimalist theme. Good typography. 3 variations.
- Tarski - Great typography. Pretty simple.
- Scrapbook - Fun cartoony theme
- Tabellenlos - Super super simple one column theme
- Guangzhou - Good design. One of the best general purpose designs on this list
- Neoclassical - 3-column, simple approach. Random headers.
- Quentin - Demo!!
- zDark
- Mystique - Really fun, clean look. Great typography and layout. Just need to change the background to fit the mood of your site.
- Arclite - Similar to the above. Clean. Natural color tones.
- Fusion - Same previous two. By the same author.
- Masinop - Colorful. Good for a personal blog.
- Hybrid - (Theme Hybrid) Absolutely gorgeous! The perfect combination of typography and minimalism. Great starting point to add your own images, and colors if you want a more vibrant theme. All have dropdown menus. Child themes:

- Structure - Heavily focused on lead images for posts. Fairly minimal with a bit of color.
- Life Collage - Beige and earthy.
- Hybrid News - carousel on front page! Magazine/newspaper oriented
- Critical - Movie/photo/catalog database. Content pieces must be focused around an image.
- Leviathan - Blue and beige. Good for an average, clean blog.
- Old School - A little more rough around the edges but very clean. Change the logo to have a non-geeky blog. :)
- Hybrid Original - The old default look for a Hybrid blog.
- Bliss - Fairly boring subtheme
- Skeleton - If you want a theme with NO STYLING and you want to build a subtheme around Hybrid, use this.
- User made subthemes
- WP Full Site - Earthy tones. Large branding area.
- Boxpulse - Coda slide built in! Kinda bland but a good starting point nonetheless.
- Galleria - Great for image galleries or any kind of an image-focused or product-focused blog. More info on the theme and plugins
- Vostok - Simple, clean, dark, one-column.
- FrostPress Themes - All fairly simple, but clean themes

- Cool Blue - Looks like wordpress.org site, a bit. Demo
- Lightweight - Tiny text. Really clean.
- Structure - Clean. Great typography.
- Seven Five - Great for personal homepage. Simple and white. Good typography. Demo
- SimpleBlog - Decent layout. Could be customized to be better. Demo
- Satoshi - Great for portfolio (personal or business). Demo
- Manifest - Super minimalist theme. Good typography. demo
- Inuit types - Demo is the theme page. Gorgeous for any use. Amazing typography.
