The Extension Is Currently Not Functional
This Firefox extension automatically logs you into the wireless network at the University of Oregon every morning at 4:05AM (when the system normally kicks you off).
[edit] Before installing
If you know Firefox already remembers your password (and only your password) for the wireless authentication page, then proceed to the Installing section. If Firefox does not save your password for the wireless authentication page, do the following:
- Go to the wireless authentication page.
- Type in your user name and password and when Firefox prompts you to have it remember the password, select Remember.
- If Firefox does not offer to remember the password for you, do the following:
- Go to Tools > Options... > Security.
- In the 'Passwords' section, click Exceptions.
- Find auth.uoregon.edu
- Click Remove.
- Start from the beginning of this section.
- If you have more than one user name/password pair saved with the password manager, do the following:
- Go to Tools > Options... > Security.
- In the 'Passwords' section, click Show Passwords....
- Find the entries for https://auth.uoregon.edu
- Delete all of them except the one you want to use to log in with.
[edit] Installing
- Firefox might give you a warning at the top of your window saying "Firefox prevented this site (wiki.eyermonkey.com) from asking you to install software on your computer.". To correct this, do the following:
- On that bar click Edit Options...
- Click Allow
- Click Close
- Click the link above one more time
- Click Install Now
- Restart Firefox
[edit] Testing if it is working
- Navigate to the wireless authentication page (preferably in a new tab).
- After a moment, you should see a page that says SUCCESSFUL.
- If you see that page, everything is fine. Otherwise, do the following:
- Go to Tools > Add-ons.
- Find UOAutoLogin
- Select disable.
- Restart Firefox.
- Follow the instructions for the Before installing section.
- Go to Tools > Add-ons again and enable UOAutoLogin.
